Butt Enhancement: Curvy Is The New Sexy
Share

What is the ideal body shape and size? It seems like women are continually trying to discover what their bodies "should" look like. The interesting thing is, that trends are always changing. There are a couple interesting trends that may present themselves in this coming year.

We all know about Kim Kardashian's incredible curves. But, how does one accomplish these curves if it does not come naturally? What procedures can be done to gain curves like those of Nicki Minaj and Jennifer Lopez? It seems that maybe skinny is no longer what is most sexy.

Two of the fasting growing plastic surgeries includes buttock augmentations and buttock lifts. There are a couple ways to go about increasing the size of the buttocks area and getting that round, apple bottom shape.

To make it easier for you, we have come up with a short checklist of questions that you should ask your surgeon before a Brazilian Butt Lift.

Implants

Implants are good to consider for those who do not have a lot of excess fatty tissue on them. The result of implants is usually a rounded, fuller appearance. This type of implant is made of silicone and shaped to form a soft, realistic feeling buttock. When implants are done, the incision is typically made in the crease between the two buttocks. Is this is not necessarily always the case, depending on a client’s specific needs, but it is the more common approach. When the incision is made between the buttocks, scarring can be easily disguised. The healing process for butt implants can take anywhere from 3 to 6 months. Because of this, it is important to have patience when awaiting the final results. Normally, a compression dressing will need to be worn throughout the recovery period. Once the final results are evident, clothes will begin fitting better and the overall body contour will be better balanced and curved.

Fat Graft

Fat grafting is an additional way to reshape and reform the buttock area. Essentially, liposuction is done to a body area with excess fatty tissue (usually the abdomen or thighs), and that fatty tissue is transferred the gluteal area. It is more common for people with loose, sagging skin to have this procedure done over silicone implants. After significant weight loss, this may be a procedure to consider if there are concerns with filling out the butt of pants or in swimsuits. One major benefit to fat grafting as a form of buttock augmentation is the recovery. Scarring is kept to a minimum. There are very simple, small scars, only big enough for a suction catheter to perform the liposuction. The injection sites are equally as small. This is not to say that there will not be any soreness or bruising. It is expected you will experience some degree of soreness from both aspects of the fat graft. Drains may also be in place for a short period of time while compression dressings are in place for recovery.

Weighing these two options can sometimes be difficult. A surgeon can properly evaluate a person’s specific needs and determine what will best help them reach their goals. Everyone is different and everyone’s body type requires different needs. But, there are a few key considerations for a buttock augmentation.

  • Loose, sagging clothes
  • A small buttocks that is not proportionate with the rest of the body
  • Post-weight loss with loose, sagging skin
  • Insecurities about the size of your buttock which can lead to other emotional difficulties

These are just a few reasons why people may want to undergo a butt augmentation. If you are considering reshaping your buttocks to get the sexy curves that is the current trend among celebrities, consult your surgeon to find out what would be best for your body.
